Central College Nottingham and New College Nottingham have plans to build a new City Hub on Canal Street
Between them, the Colleges educate and train over 50,000 young people and adults every year delivering over 100,000 qualifications and contributing millions of pounds to the local economy.
The new college building would form part of the Southside Gateway regeneration, transforming the area south of the city from the Castle, Maid Marian Way, and the Broadmarsh Centre, to Nottingham Train Station. The previously derelict plot to the east of the Broadmarsh Centre and behind Nottingham Contemporary has been cleared for development and is ideally located on the tram network and close to the station.
The new City Hub will create a legacy for the City that will last for decades to come, creating hundreds of jobs and giving Nottingham an iconic landmark that will radically change the further education landscape in the City. The new facility will provide state of the art teaching and training opportunities for the residents of Nottinghamshire and will support the City’s economic growth plan.
