You will get the chance to add to your existing skills, while earning a wage and gaining more advanced technical knowledge of bricklaying.
This course is for those employed in the construction industry as a bricklayer. You will come into College one day a week, to complete the underpinning knowledge and portfolio building to compile the evidence you need for your qualifications.The apprenticeship is made up of the following elements:
- NVQ 3 in Bricklaying
- Level 3 Diploma in Bricklaying
- Employment rights and responsibilities
- Personal learning and thinking skills

Advanced Apprenticeship in Bricklaying
Adults who are aged 19+ with appropriate industry experience but without the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.
All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.

Each unit is continually assessed. You will present evidence of competence via practical assessments and the production of a personal portfolio.
After gaining work experience in the chosen occupational area there are also opportunities to progress into occupational work supervision, management, higher education or technical support areas.
