If you would like to work in a hospitality supervisory or managerial role in either accommodation, food and drink service or in the retail industry then this could be just the course for you.
This is the hospitality industry’s qualification for aspiring leaders and managers in the hospitality workplace.
It is suitable for all hospitality supervisors who want to gain a qualification and develop further understanding of how best to manage employees and undertake managerial duties, whatever type of establishment you work in.
The broad range of NVQ units will enable you to select specialist options to achieve a qualification that best suits your role.
You’ll cover employment rights and responsibilities, as well as other industry/coaching qualifications as directed by your employer.
Once a month you will visit our training kitchen in Nottingham on day release, to undertake skills sessions, working alongside our highly trained staff.

English and maths - skills for your future
Employers and universities really value skills in English and maths. So, building on your existing knowledge of these subjects will help you prepare for your future career or further study. *If you are aged 16-18 and have not yet achieved GCSE English Language and Maths at grade C or above/grade 4 or above don’t worry - we’ll support you with the right lessons to increase your confidence in these essential employability skills.
Our courses are designed to help you achieve your ambitions, whether you plan to go on to a higher level of study or start a career. Employability and study skills will be included to help you develop the broad skills required by industry. They will vary from course to course and are designed to meet local and national employer needs.
Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 6AG
You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job but we can assist you in finding a placement.
You will also need GCSEs at grades A* to C/9 to 4 or equivalent in English Language and Maths, however some employers may require additional qualifications depending on the role.
Adults who are aged 19+ with appropriate industry experience but without the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.
All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.

The qualification is completed in unit sections. You will produce a personal portfolio. Theory sessions take place on day release and practical in the workplace.
