Beginners Spanish - Part-time

Course outline

Are you planning a holiday and want to learn the basics in Spanish, or are you working abroad and want to feel confident about communicating in a foreign county?

Whatever your reason for choosing to learn Spanish, this short course will provide you with the basic language skills you need to feel comfortable in the country you are visiting.

You will develop essential speaking, listening, reading and writing skills as well as a solid understanding of the structure of the language. You will also receive an introduction to Spanish customs and cultures.

Students will learn to talk simply using the present tense, understanding replies and be able to ask for directions, order drinks, order meals and go shopping.

During the course you will conduct simple conversations in social situations and will learn to say general greetings, your name and nationality and how to describe your place of residence. You will also learn how to talk about your occupation, age and your family, how to ask for directions, book accommodation and order food and drink.
