The course includes practical assignments covering:
- Basic Health and Safety
- Identification of tools and materials
- Measure, cut and mark out bricks
- Jointing brickwork
- How to set out and build: A single skin Stretcher bond wall, a Flemish bond wall, an English bond wall, a Cavity wall, a pillar and a corner.

None, we welcome applications from learners who have no previous experience of bricklaying.
|Teaching & assessment||
There is no external assessment, however, the tutor will continually assess your practical work and offer feedback.
Employment as a trainee bricklayer or progression to a Diploma Level 1 in Bricklaying.
Wearing protective clothing and footwear is advised.
