This course is perfect if you want an introduction to creative and technical aspects of creative media production and the knowledge and understanding to progress to further education and employment within the creative industries.
You’ll learn a range of creative media methods and skills including production techniques in creative media, understanding an audience in creative media production, contextual research for creative media production, audio production and technology, visual production and technology, interactive media production and technology and personal project and presentation in creative media production.
You can expect to study a practical work-related course. You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. It will introduce you to your chosen career and provide a good basis to progress onto a more advanced qualification.
This course is based at the City Campus (Adams Building).
UAL Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media Production
You’ll need 4 GCSEs at Grade 9-3 (A*-D), including English Language and maths – one of English Language or maths must be grade 9-4 (A*-C) (Functional Skills L1 can be used as equivalent to GCSE Grade 3 (D) and Functional Skills L2 can be used as equivalent to GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above.
Choose to follow with a UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology if you have achieved a Merit, or Distinction overall at the end of your Level 2 course.
