Festive Cake Decoration


Course outline

You will learn how to:

  • Cover a cake with icing and make festive decorations. 
  • Use sugar paste to make a design of your choice. 
  • Cover a cake with marzipan and sugar paste. 
  • Use modelling techniques and add decorations to the finished cake.

Completing this short course will give you a sound basis for further learning in your chosen subject.

This course is suitable for beginners or anyone wanting to improve your their cake decoration skills. There are no formal entry qualifications.

Teaching & assessment

You will be encouraged to set your own personal targets and the tutor will give regular verbal and written feedback. There are no examinations.

Please bring an apron, a fruit cake, a packet of icing sugar and any cake decorating tools you may have.
