This course is perfect if you love being in the kitchen and you’d like to develop your passion for food and customer service into a career.
You’ll learn everything from developing and creating a menu, to delivering customer service in a front of house role. You’ll research the UK and local hospitality industry and the different roles you’ll be able to take when you start out in the hospitality industry.
You can expect to learn into our commercial-standard kitchens with tutors who have years of experience in the hospitality industry. This is a practical, hands on course that will give you all the skills you need to start your career in this exciting and growing industry.
This course is based at the Clarendon Campus.
Introduction to the Hospitality Industry Level 1 Certificate
You’ll need 4 GCSEs at Grade 3-1 (D-G), including English Language and Maths at Grade 3-1 (D-G) or a relevant Entry 3 vocational qualification. With this you will be asked to sit an Initial Assessment and this must show that you are ready to study English and maths at Level 1.
Choose to follow with one of our level 2 programmes in Professional Cookery or Professional Chefs or perhaps onto an Apprenticeship within a restaurant, food court or hotel.
