Course outline

Learn how to make jewellery using torch fired enamelling, salt water etching, forging and metal clay. Metal clay will be taught using copper or bronze, however all the skills you will learn transfer easily to silver clay.

This course is suitable if you have already completed a NCFE level 1 course(s) at the Textile Workshop and are interested in progressing your skills.

Teaching & assessment

There is no formal assessment and tutors will give ongoing verbal feedback. You will be encouraged to set your own personal targets.

Additional information

Please bring copper and brass sheet metal to the first class along with a notebook and pen. You will be expected to source your own materials and also contribute towards general costs which is usually around £1 per week.
