Music Production

Course outline

This course is perfect if you love music or you’re interested in a music career and want to develop technical skills in production.

You’ll learn the industry and the different jobs available within it, as well as getting hands-on experience using Logic Pro and other recording and DJ equipment.

You can expect plenty of studio time, recording, mixing, editing and making music, plus work in real venues with real artists, thanks to our excellent industry links.

This course is based at the Clarendon Campus.

Entry requirements

You’ll need 4 GCSEs at Grade 9-3 (A*-D), including English Language and maths – one of English Language or maths must be grade 9-4 (A*-C) (Functional Skills L1 can be used as equivalent to GCSE Grade 3 (D) and Functional Skills L2 can be used as equivalent to GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above.

Progression

Choose to follow with further study on a Level 3 Music Technology course or a job as a sound engineer, producer or performer.
