Course outline

This course is ideal if you’d like to improve your English and maths before progressing onto a Level 2 course in a range of work-related (vocational) areas.

You’ll learn English and maths through many different methods, incorporating both individual and team work. Tasks can vary from creative and practical projects to interactive and independent work.

You can expect fantastic facilities and supportive teaching staff who will go the extra mile to help you achieve. You’ll get the opportunity to complete a National Citizenship Service (NCS) residential too

Entry requirements

You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grades 3–1/D–G, including English Language and maths, or a relevant Entry 3 vocational qualification and you will also be asked to sit an initial assessment. The initial assessment must show that you are ready to study English and maths at Level 1. If you results are lower than this, don't worry, we'll find the right course for you.

You must be aged 16-18 to apply for this course.

Progression

Choose to follow with a level 2 course of your choice or employment.

Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
