The course will cover how to alter garments using the correct techniques. You will learn to understand body measurements, how bought garments are made, how to repair zips and faults, how to recycle and restyle unwanted garments and use trimmings, fabric and other sewing techniques to enhance existing garments. You will try garment dyeing and printing to rejuvenate old clothes. The course will also cover enterprise skills to enable you to market, price and sell your craft items.
This course is for you if you have already completed NCFE Creative Crafts at Level 1. This course is not suitable for beginners, as previous experience and knowledge of skills and techniques is a course requirement. You will be required to complete a work book, and so you must be able to complete written work as well as practical element of the course.
