Course outline
This qualification is perfect if you would like a career in a sport and/or fitness-related field, and want to take your studies further, perhaps onto a degree in a wide-range of sport disciplines.
This course is equivalent to one A-Level and the qualification is designed to support progression to higher education when taken as part of a programme of study that includes other A Levels.
The three mandatory units include:
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Wellbeing
- Professional Development in the Sports Industry
You will then have an optional unit tailored to meet your career/university goals.
You need to be able to demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm for sport to get the best value and experience from this qualification.
You can expect a professional study environment in our sixth form and at sports facilities close to our campus.
