Stained Glass for Beginners — Part-time
Course outline
This course is primarily for people who haven't already studied stained glass with us before. If you are a previous learner, you may still apply but your name will be added to a waiting list and if a place becomes available nearer to the start of the course, we will contact you.
Learn the skills that enable you to produce a stained glass piece of work, using the copper foil technique.
You will learn how to score and cut glass, grinding, filing and soldering.
You will also learn the techniques and skills of stained glass crafts, working with coloured glass, copper foil and solder.
Community classes are first steps into learning for many adults, enabling them to find out more about a subject of interest in a welcoming, inclusive local venue.
From September 2024, funding changes mean that courses primary aim is to support students into further education or employment opportunities (paid or voluntary). If students wish to continue studying the same subject on a leisure basis, it may be possible to set up full cost courses, subject to tutor and room availability.
