Course outline

No matter what level of ability you are, from beginners to improvers, as long as you have a keen interest in painting and a willingness to learn new skills, this course is perfect for you.

Build your confidence and get to grips with the latest techniques with like-minded people and experienced teaching staff

During the course you will explore and develop your skills in the following areas:

  • Composition
  • Drawing
  • Colour mixing
  • Painting from observation

The use of sketch books will be encouraged as this is where your creativity begins and ideas are formed. Subjects of interest can be plucked from these sketches and worked into bigger paintings.

Areas you’ll cover include: still life, painting figures, flower and plant subjects plus individual areas of your choice.

By the end of the course you may even have the opportunity to display your work for the public.
