Web Design - Beginners (Level 1 Award)


Course outline

This course covers the fundamentals of using Adobe Dreamweaver and creating a website. These skills are the building blocks of working towards producing a website that can be published onto the internet.

The course is taught by an experienced web designer who, during the course, will be passing on his knowledge in the subject areas.

The course will be spent using Dreamweaver to setup and create a small website, looking at accessibility of websites, using images and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to change how the content looks.

It is assumed that the learner has a basic knowledge of working with computers.

Teaching & assessment

During the course the students will be producing a small website and animated banner as well as a short workbook and this project will be assessed at the end of the course.


Intermediate / Advanced course in web design

Additional information

It would be very beneficial to have access to the Adobe software outside of the sessions.
