Published on: 16/03/2016 (11:15AM)

School pupils are set to find out more about Apprenticeships at a special event at Central College Nottingham on Thursday 17 March.

Over 320 pupils from 11 schools , including Bulwell Academy, Bramcote Hills, Emmanuel and Ellis Guilford schools will attend an Apprenticeship event at the College’s Ruddington Centre. Pupils will take part in hands-on activities connected with apprenticeships and receive one to one advice on the types of courses on offer. Areas represented included Automotive, Business Administration, Construction, Health and Social Care, Hairdressing, Science and Sport.

Event organiser at the College, Jane Nutt said:

"We run this event every year to help celebrate National Apprenticeship Week. It’s important for young people to be armed with enough information about the range of qualifications on offer and apprenticeships are a real growth area that we need to showcase."
