News: Charity Cycle Ride
A trio of car enthusiasts swapped four wheels for two to undertake a charity cycle ride on Thursday 22 June.
Jon Rawson, Head of School at Emtec Colleges, Central College Nottingham’s automotive commercial training division and Andy Moore, Emtec Managing Director joined Hyundai’s Technical Training Manager Robin Usherwood cycling 108 miles from Hyundai’s regional Academy at the College’s Ruddington Centre to Hyundai’s Academy and headquarters in High Wycombe in less than 12 hours.
The riders called in at a number of Hyundai dealerships during the day as they travelled down the country.
The attempt was part of Hyundai’s charity efforts to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer. To date over £6000 has been raised.
Jon said:
As the College is a training partner of Hyundai, when the idea first came up, we knew it was something we had to get involved with.
