Darts Star on Target at Central

9 Dart Challenge ProfessionalPremier League Darts Star Dave Chisnall launched Central College Nottingham’s charity darts competition for Sport Relief on 10 March.

The College is running a 9-dart bullseye challenge for Sport Relief. Staff, students and external school pupils will have 9 darts to try and score a maximum of 45 points – 5 for the ‘bull’, 1 point for the ‘green inner ring’. The competition closes on Sport Relief Day on Friday 19 March. Entry is 50p and all entrants also go into a raffle draw.

Sport Manager at Central, Gary Horsley said:

“Having Dave here was a great way to launch the competition. It’s a massive incentive for everyone taking part in the competition to see a professional player sitting top of our leader-board!”

The College runs a darts academy at its Clifton centre for students with a passion for ‘arrows’, the facility is also used to help embed maths into the sport curriculum. The facility is named ‘Room 180’ and features 5 tournament standard dart boards.

Dave Chisnall is ranked 11 in the PDC (Professional Darts Corporation) order of merit and was taking part in the Betway Premier League darts event at the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena that evening.
