A hairdressing student at Central College Nottingham has scooped a top prize in a national hairdressing competition.
Klaudia Jachimowska, 25, from West Bridgford was named the winner in the mannequin blow dry category at the National Hairdressers’ Federation (NHF) competition in Blackpool on Monday 14 March.
The National Hairdressers’ Federation is the UK’s largest trade body for hairdressing, barbering and beauty salon owners. The competition brings together stylists from across to the country to compete in a range of categories showcasing their creative talents.
Klaudia is a Level 2 student at the College’s Salon Central on Wheeler Gate.
Head of School for Hairdressing, Alison Asbury said:
"Because we are preparing our learners for industry we wanted them to compete against other industry trainees rather than college students to see if our standards are high enough. We were thrilled with the way Klaudia held her nerve and to come away in first place is a great achievement and will put her head and shoulders above others in a competitive job market."
