Security Information

Your responsibility

It is your responsibility to protect your personal information such as your password at all times. Always make sure that nobody is looking over your shoulder when you are typing in your personal information, try and memorise your Password, don’t leave documentation with key personal data on it for others to see, and log-off properly and promptly when you have finished.

Central’s responsibility

The security of personal information about our users is of great importance to Central and we take many steps to ensure that we protect your privacy. Among the steps that we have implemented are:

We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) which is a process that transmits data between clients and servers in an encrypted form over the Internet. Our website uses 128-bit encryption, which means that when information is passed between you and us, it is ‘scrambled’ so that third parties cannot understand it.

Cookies are pieces of information that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your browser when you are viewing the site. Cookies are our means of keeping your data safe. They enable us to track you as an individual and to make sure that you are logged on correctly. We use cookies to enable our system to recognise your browser, provide features such as easier login and greater security, and store information about you between visits.

Cookies do not store your password, phone number or address details in text format.

In the Help menu on the toolbar of most browsers, it will tell you how you can stop your browser from accepting cookies, or notify you when you receive a new cookie. However, if you turn cookies off you may not have access to some of the features that make this and other websites more efficient, and some services may not even function correctly.
