Choices Hair Beauty

Our Hair and Beauty courses are delivered at Salon Central training salons which are fully equipped with the latest technology and leading product ranges. This provides our student hairdressers and therapists with the opportunity to offer a comprehensive range of hair and beauty treatments, giving them the training and experience they require to succeed in the fast paced Hair and Beauty industry.

Friendly, helpful and highly skilled, qualified staff supervise students and provide first-class training and advice. The Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy team ensures that students benefit from their expertise gained over many years of working in the industry.

City & Guilds Entry 3 Award or Certificate in an Introduction to the Hair & Beauty Sector

This course is designed to build on students’ interest and passion for the hair and beauty industry, covering a wide range of skills from styling, plaiting and twisting to make-up or nail art.

Hours: 

  • Award: 62 GLH
  • Certificate: 114 GLH

City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Creative Hair & Beauty Studies

This course will introduce the learner to the world of hairdressing and beauty therapy, engaging their interest through experiential learning of selected products and techniques. This course is project based and will include units on styling women’s hair, styling men’s hair, plaiting and twisting hair and basic make-up application.

Hours: 180 GLH 

VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Hairdressing and Beauty

In this qualification, learners will use hairdressing and beauty therapy and related industries (i.e. retail, leisure, fashion, marketing, media, business) to develop themselves and, in particular, the skills and attributes prized by employers, further education colleges and higher education institutions. Examples include exploring sectors, carrying out research projects, science, business enterprise and marketing and promotions.

Hours: 120 GLH
