Depending which course you wish to study you may be entitled to a reduction in fees.
Courses marked ‘No fee reductions available’
The College does not receive any funding for these courses and all students must pay the full fee listed on the course information.
Courses marked ‘Fees may be waived if you are in receipt of certain benefits’.
Students who are aged 16-18 will get their tuition fees and exam/registration fees paid for. They will only be liable for any course related costs, e.g. uniform, equipment, etc.
Set by the Skills Funding Agency, some individuals aged 19+ can claim remitted fees, click here to see if you can get a reduction on the fees.
Courses marked ‘This course is funded by PCDL…’
Some courses are funded by PCDL (Personal and Community Development Learning). This is learning for personal development, cultural enrichment, intellectual or creative stimulation and enjoyment.
PCDL courses are suitable for adults aged 19+ and aim to:
- Provide taster programmes that give an introduction to a subject area
- Give you opportunities to study in a friendly community venue
- Help you build or improve your employability skills
If you receive certain means tested benefit and are currently looking for work, the course is FREE. Please note that you can enrol on a maximum of two PCDL courses during an academic year.
If you are not eligible for any fee reductions, you can still enrol and you will pay the full fee stated on the course.
