How to apply

How To Apply Hero

Looking to start a course at Central College Nottingham? Here is a quick guide of what you can expect during the application process.

Step 1: Apply for a course

With over 300 courses, you’ve got plenty of options to choose from. Once you’ve found your perfect course, you can apply online directly from the course page using our simple application form.

Step 2: Attend a course presentation/interview

Once you’ve applied, we’ll email you to let you know we’ve received your application and then send you a letter inviting you to a course presentation/interview.

These interviews normally take between half an hour to 2 hours and will generally involve you meeting with a member of our staff to see if you’re a good fit for the course that you applied for. In some cases, we may suggest alternative choices if we feel that the course you applied you isn’t quite right for you.

If you meet the entry requirements we will send you a conditional offer in the post.

If you can’t make the interview or presentation date don’t panic, in most cases we will be able to rearrange it for you. Just give us a call on 0115 914 6414 or get in touch with us via our enquiry form and we’ll do our best to rearrange.

Step 3: Accept our course offer

Once you’ve received your conditional offer, you need to decide whether or not you’d like to accept it. If you decide that Central is the right choice for you, follow the instructions on your offer letter to send us your acceptance confirmation.

Step 4: Enrol to officially become a Central student!

During the summer we will send you a letter inviting you to enrol. This letter will contain all of the details that you need to know to get you officially enrolled as a Central student. Before you enrol there will also be chances for you to attend a taster, meet your tutors and other students on your course and find out more about things such as financial support and student life at Central.

We will also send you a link to an online assessment to determine the appropriate English and maths support we will give you.

If you don’t quite get the results that you were expecting, don’t panic or worry! Just let us know by giving us a quick call on 0115 914 6414 and we can look at course options that might suit you.
