Activities at Central

Events At Central

Along with our regular Open Days, the Schools and Events Team can organise and host a variety of events and activities at any of our College sites, offering an experience of College life and our range of subjects. These activities are available for individuals or groups of any size.

Taster Sessions

Subject-specific taster sessions give your students the opportunity to get a taste of a subject they are interested in, and provide an exciting insight into College life and the facilities available to support their learning.

We also offer bespoke group tasters for schools at any of our College sites offering a range of activities across various industry sectors.

College Visits

Groups of students and staff are very welcome to come to the College to experience a guided tour of our centres, meet the staff and experience what it is like to be a college student.

This is a great opportunity to view our facilities first hand; come and see our state-of-the-art hair and beauty salons, commercial automotive garage, industry standard photography studios, flight cabin or even have a go on our virtual welder!

Industry Day

School groups are invited along to participate in an industry style day where they can find out more about a particular industry sector, for example: Construction, Sport, Hair and Beauty or Creative Industries. Students participate in a variety of different workshops during the day, providing them with a fantastic opportunity to “Have a go” at various activities and find out all they need to know about a particular industry.

Apprenticeship Fair

During National Apprenticeship Week in March, the College delivers an Apprenticeship Fair. Sector and industry specialists are available to help students understand the benefits of an Apprenticeship and the types of roles, careers and progression opportunities available. A number of activities will be taking place including an information area for employers and training providers, and interactive demonstrations.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for letting us attend the Apprenticeship Event. All of the students throughly enjoyed it and got something out of it.
