If you like getting stuck into projects and want to get into a skilled trade, then a construction course at Central will give you the hands-on training you need. These practical courses include bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating, groundworks, plastering, dry lining, plumbing, multiskills and electrical training.

Further Education courses

Our high-quality courses are perfect for you if you want to study a practical subject with the intention of going on to further training and/or work in the building industry. We run further education courses from Level 1 to Level 3 and some qualifications can also be studied as an apprenticeship so you earn while you learn.

You will be based in our purpose-built workshops and training areas, giving you the feel of working on a real site. Our Beeston Centre has been highly recommended by the construction sector body, the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), so you can be confident you will be in a great learning environment. 

You will gain valuable work experience with industry partners and may even get the opportunity to take part in one of our well-established international work experience projects. You could even take part in competitions to show off the skills you’ve learned!

Higher Education courses

Funding for employers

The CITB Grants Scheme has been put in place to ensure 
the long-term growth and development of the industry. Grants are available that contribute towards the cost of training, recognised qualifications and development.

All employers who are registered with CITB are eligible to claim a grant, providing they meet certain terms and conditions. Grants are available to help with a range of areas from Apprenticeship support to training and development plans for the whole business.
