Public Services

Public Services

We are living in an age where the Uniformed Services are increasingly working together for the security and care of the nation.

Choosing a uniformed public services course at Nottingham College could lead to an exhilarating career in the armed forces, emergency services, or even the security or prison services.

Members of our teaching team come from a range of armed forces and public services backgrounds. They aim to create realistic experiences on the course just like those you’d find when working in the sector.

You’ll find a mixture of theory and practical units with an emphasis on teamwork, communication, self-motivation and discipline. These are all very relevant skills! You will learn how the different services work together to develop, maintain and protect society.

We also offer exciting hands-on experiences alongside your learning. Recent examples include: police riot training and public order training; police role play; training with the army; visits to fire stations and a wide range of outdoor and adventure training.

You can also join the college’s Sport Academies to help improve your fitness and of course have fun!
